The Far East in the Northeast.
Baldpate Hill Residence
This complete gut renovation of this 1980’s deck home left nothing but the shell untouched to bring the house into the modern era. The work included everything from the practical, new heating and cooling systems, to the extravagant, a traditional Japanese tea room.
The new kitchen included a wood-fired pizza oven and 8” thick double-dovetail cutting block island. The master bedroom suite featured a walk-in closet complete with wine fridge, double-sided fireplace, and a new construction addition of a bathroom with his and her showers, custom vanity, cedar tub, and fountain. The revamped basement included two new guest rooms, media room, bathroom with steam shower, screened-in porch with hot tub, office, cedar closet, and gym. Needless to say, it was a pleasure to design, while still maintaining the original charm of the deck house and the breathtaking views that made it so magical in the first place.
