Boston Honey Company
With over 3,000 hives throughout Massachusetts, New York, and Georgia, Boston Honey Company is the queen bee when it comes to producing artisanal honey. But they needed a larger, more multifunctional space to call their own.
We helped them do just that by designing their retail space and by coordinating the existing design of their core and shell. The space is open and airy, with beautiful, natural timbers framing it. Here, customers can browse a wide range of honey from the various regions, talk and sample with an expert at the tasting counter, plus shop for skincare products, candles, and other wax goods. They can even take a peek at a working honey hive with bees coming in from the neighboring fields. Additionally, a window into the hot wax room gives customers the opportunity to check out the production side of things as the space transitions to the larger back-of-house space. There, employees buzz around the processing equipment, stacks of storage, and barrels and barrels of delicious honey. It’s a beautiful space in a beautiful setting that helps some of the most important creatures on our planet.
