Wilmington Development
*IN CONSTRUCTION* Located at one of the major intersections in the area, this true mixed-use development is set to reshape the heart and future of Wilmington. We’ve had the pleasure of working on it all.
The Alice is the anchor of the development. It’s a new, four-story residential building with 50 efficient but elevated residential units, below-grade parking, and amenity spaces. The ground floor combines living and communal spaces, including a cozy tenant lounge and a fully equipped fitness room. Moving up, the second and third floors focus on residential living, complemented by a shared amenity space for all tenants to enjoy. The site significantly influenced the design strategy with its slope. We leveraged the unique topography to tuck parking within the landscape while letting the natural slopes enhance the overall appeal around the property. Overall, the design is modern yet comfortable, striking a balance between welcoming and sophisticated.
In addition to The Alice, the development also features several new retail assets, which we also designed. The first is a modern, three-tenant building that echoes the look and feel of the residential building. The second is a standalone Starbucks shell with a drive-thru. Together, they create an all-day commercial and residential destination that sets a convenient and comfortable precedent for future developments to come.
