La dolce vita in Eastie.
La Tavernetta
When our friends from MIDA came to us for their latest concept, they had a vision: bring the refreshing feel and easy energy of the Italian coastline to East Boston. The catch? The previous space was dark, wood-heavy, and warm-weather season was quickly approaching. So we got creative.
We started at the entrance, transforming the previous service station—the first thing you see when you walk in—into a signature coastal raw bar feature with white and teal tile accents. Then, above the main bar, we created a sail-inspired canvas lit dramatically from behind to bring a sense of the outside in. Soft seating, bright upholstery, and layered lighting carry the airy design throughout, creating an experience that can be casual during the day, intimate for a date night, and flexible for social events. La Tavernetta is a breath of Amalfi air right here in East Boston.
