Something old.
Made something bold.
Modern Luxury
This project was a real treat for us to design. Our clients are amazing and their house built in 1900 is fantastic. The goal of the project was to bring the home into the modern day, make the kitchen the heart of the home, and create spaces they can fall in love with, again and again, every day.
To achieve the project goals, we expanded the kitchen's footprint into the rear yard while carefully maintaining the home’s original architecture. From there, we redesigned the mudroom and side entry to be more functional and dove all in on a complete gut renovation of the kitchen and pantry. We completely reworked the space, reconfigured the stair to the basement, and removed the existing stair and chimney. The result is a wide open, professional eat-in kitchen with a large island, walk-in pantry, coffee area, seating area, arched dining room pass-through, and keys and mail slot. Adjacent, you’ll find a brand new half bath and a brand new laundry room complete with dog wash. We continued the redesign onto the second floor, where we created a completely revamped primary suite. The bathroom? Well, just see for yourself. From the first floor to the second floor, it was an incredible project to create with our wonderful clients and project partners. The nice people at Boston Home Magazine thought so too, showcasing the project both on the cover and inside their Fall 2023 issue. We’re so honored and extremely grateful. And we can’t wait to do the next one.
