Padel Boston

Padel is quickly becoming one of the most popular new sports in the U.S. Part tennis, part squash, it’s completely fun and totally addictive. It’s huge in other parts of the world, but people here are just getting introduced to it. Our clients aim to change that with Boston’s very first padel club.

To introduce the padel experience to as many people as possible, our clients sought to create a very approachable, inclusive, and welcoming space rather than only to folks “in the know.” They wanted to create a comfortable and active environment that would help teach those who want to learn as well as cater to players with more experience. Our design aimed to strike that balance and navigate customer flow through the space. The club features three regulation-size courts–a must for business purposes– with enough surrounding room to meet code. Due to the unique nature of the space, reception is further back, so we created an intuitive path that utilizes lighting and furniture to guide the customers to it. Beyond play, our clients hope to keep evolving the food and drink offerings, so we kept parts of the space flexible for those phased additions. It’s a large but cozy space where players of all ages and skill levels can play padel, share the game, and have fun.
