Third Piece
Third Piece is a wonderful online place to go for all things modern knit. Soft, stylish yarns, beautifully handcrafted clothing, helpful tutorials — they have everything today’s knitters want. So their flagship retail store had to feel and work the same.
We helped them create a modern yet welcoming space that functions as both a retail space and a meeting place. Up front, customers can shop and find inspiration with beautifully finished knitwear, then seamlessly shop for equally beautiful materials on the high-contrast, gallery-like wall. In the middle, a knit bar serves as a central place for project troubleshooting as well as casual knitting meetups. Finally, the larger, more flexible back hosts hands-on classes and events. The overall design is thoughtfully arranged to be clean, upscale, and thoroughly inviting.
