Full steam ahead.
The Engine Yard
For this project, our clients were looking to redevelop a large industrial lot along the railroad tracks and turn it into a mixed-use property. As we did our historical research, we found that the site used to be a train terminus complete with a rotating turntable. The Engine Yard was born.
We went through several iterations of the residences and worked closely with our clients to hone in on a design that was modern and cost-conscious but also unlike anything in the area. The location is close to downtown and transit, making it a prime opportunity for professionals and commuters, so the design is striking and sophisticated. The building features one studio unit, six 1-bedroom units, and eleven 2-bedroom units. In addition, it has several amenity spaces, covered and uncovered parking, an outdoor basketball court, and first-floor retail space. Choo choo.
