Raising the bar.
The Foundry
Hartford has a long and storied history of progress. One of the founding companies that has ushered it in for over 150 years is HSB. Their new restaurant, The Foundry, located on the 20th floor is no exception.
Situated high above the banks of the Connecticut River, The Foundry is the new benchmark for hospitality in the region. We had the pleasure of crafting every aspect of the design– architecture, interiors, and brand– to create an unforgettable experience you won't find anywhere else in the state. Overall, the vibe is modern and elevated, with meaningful moments that weave in both Hartford’s and HSB’s past. Dark metal and luminous brass spark intrigue and contrast. Rich leather pairs with robust wood to create warmth with class. Intimate settings pair with sweeping views. The centerpiece of the design is decidedly the bar with curved wood beams that rise from the back and sprawl across the ceiling. Cozy up and the city surrounds you via the building’s signature sawtooth shape. We even took inspiration from that shape and incorporated it into the main branding mark, with brass linework that pays homage to the company's pipe and boiler past. No detail was overlooked. No seat was overlooked. The Foundry has it all, showcasing the Capital City's very best of cuisine and style.
